For the first time in five years, Tatuaje is adding new vitolas to its Fausto brand.
Those two new vitolas are the Fausto FT110 (4 3/8 x 60) and FT187 (7 3/8 x 60). Blend-wise, Fausto uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Each is sold in boxes of 12 and, at 60 ring gauge, these are the thickest Fausto cigars to date.
The blend is based on the Tatuaje T110, a cigar first released in 2009 as a single store release for R. Field Wine Co. in Hawaii, though, in 2021, Tatuaje re-released the cigar as a nationwide limited edition. That cigar was a smaller version of the Tatuaje Thermonuclear, a Tatuaje prototype that was noted for its strength. In 2011, Tatuaje introduced Fausto as a way to sell the T110 blend as a regular production line.
