The new HVC Edición Especial 2015 gets more ornate packaging and the cigars will be box-pressed, a change from the previous round format. Blend-wise, it remains a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Estelí and Jalapa, Nicaragua, though the company says it has slightly changed the recipe to accommodate the soft press.
The Especiales, the only vitola to come in a 10-count box, is the limited edition release. Only 1,000 boxes have been made. The new HVC Edición Especial 2015 is expected to ship in June.
