NEW LIMITED RELEASE FROM MY FATHER

The cigars honor what would be the 100th birthday of José Garcia Alayón, the father of José “Pepín” Garcia. The blend is a slightly modified version of the regular production My Father Le Bijou 1922, with all of the tobaccos coming from the García family’s San Rafael, Las Quebradas and San José farms. It is still a Nicaraguan puro that uses a habano wrapper leaf, in this case it is one that the company calls its Habano My Father or an “oscuro oscuro” leaf due to its dark color.

The tobaccos are put through a special fermentation process to release all of their aromas and flavors and create the profile that the company was looking for in this limited edition release.

It is available in two vitolas, a 5 1/2 x 48 Corona Extra that gets a soft box press, as well as a 6 1/2 x 44 Corona Especial that is round. Both sizes have small pigtail caps, are priced at $13 per cigar, and are limited to 1,922 boxes of 22 cigars. That last detail is a nod to the year 1922, which is when José Garcia Alayón was born. The cigars also get an orange foot ribbon that indicates they are part of the 100 Años release.

The cigars are produced at My Father’s factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
